Systemic Coaching
Wikipedia defines systemic coaching as a form of advisory process support in which the individual is not viewed in isolation, but as part of their social environment. The coach does not give advice, but uses targeted questions to help the client tap into their own strengths and discover new perspectives.
My personal experience as an executive helps me to formulate tailored questions and, in some coaching situations, to share examples drawn from my own experiences.
Coaching can only be successful if the client has a genuine need for change. The aim of the coaching – the framework within which improvement is to take place – is established jointly right at the outset.
I’d describe my style as direct – no beating about the bush, just honest feedback when something strikes me. This isn’t for every client, nor does it need to be – the key thing is that the chemistry between coach and client is right.
My one-to-one coaching sessions mainly take place online. I live in Cologne, so face-to-face meetings can also be arranged in the Cologne/Bonn area without the need for long journeys. Weather permitting, I’m happy to offer ‘Coaching in Motion’ during a walk in the park.
